It's been a while since I've updated this blog.

22nd of August was the birthday of a dear friend of mine.
I drew him a picture( comic style) of him and made him my specialty-Spaghetti (seafood style drenched in XO).
In fact I drew two pictures to see which turned out the best.
One was the comic one, the other,
Watercolour.
I consulted my art teacher and she gave a flat 84 for the comic and nothing for the watercolour.
She told me to draw in a background and maybe she'll give me better marks.
She always has high expectations for me as I'm one of the best in my form.
I took them back and drew in a background.
For the comic, I was cracking my head what to draw in as the background.
I drew him holding the viola(although it's not obvious 'cause he is holding it down).
I know that he loves music, especially classical music.
I thought of copying one of Vivaldi's famous works-
La Primavera a.k.a Spring from Four Seasons.
But,
Just drawing lines and copying it down will make it look cheap.
And so,
I drew in random sheets
Twisting and turning at the back.
Now comes the hard part-copying in the score.
Just drafting it has already taken 1 day plus adding on the ink,
That makes it two.
For the watercolour piece,
I've drew him really life-like, picture perfect to brag with.
I drew in the background with a combination colour of blue and pink.
What does it signify, you ask?
Pink- as I've seen him in that particular colour of a t-shirt.
Blue- Resemblance of our violin society.
But in the end it was a disaster!
It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to but then I took it to my teacher the next day.
She gave me a 99 for the comic and a 96 for the watercolour(after patching it up for me).
Speaking about spaghetti,
He'd tried it once before.
Actually that was for the art society during the holidays to get ready for the academy exbt. our school is having soon.
I was singing and he was my piano accompanist
We were suppose to practice that day after his class and told him to come over to have lunch together with us artist .
He ate and said it was a little dry.
I can't help it when something goes wrong with my cooking.
So to prove that I can make it better,
I made him a better one.

Next Saturday he'll be performing with his fellow MPYO's in Sunway.
Hope he'll put on a great performance on that day.
I'll be there to support him,
Provided my dad allows me to go...
Anyway, that's all for now,
Till next time.
